Abstract: The article presents an in-depth look at the issue of the operational goals of the 10th Army and their implementation, largely through the Częstochowa area, but also at the very beginning of the preparations for aggression against Poland. A close look at the German preparations for war with Poland allows us to move their beginning to late autumn of 1938, with political decisions in this respect invariably being made after 25 March 1939. This enables the creation of a study that combines both of these issues within the scope of one problem. With one of them resulting from the other, inextricably linked by a series of cause-and-effect events, with the gradual narrowing of the research area to one of the operational units subordinate to the command of German Army Group South (10th Army).
