Abstract: Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology has become a transformative tool in construction engineering, enabling enhanced efficiency, collaboration, and project management. This paper explores the application of BIM in various aspects of construction, including design optimization, scheduling, cost estimation, and facility management. The use of BIM allows for better visualization, clash detection, and data integration, significantly reducing errors and improving decision-making. Despite its numerous benefits, challenges such as high implementation costs, skill gaps, and resistance to change hinder its widespread adoption. By addressing these issues and leveraging emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and IoT, BIM is set to play a critical role in advancing sustainable and smart construction practices.
