Abstract: Land is our most basic means of production and life. With the deepening of new urbanisation, a large amount of land is inefficiently used, and land conservation and intensive use is facing serious challenges. The article succinctly clarifies the connotation of land conservation and intensive use and the requirements of new urbanisation on land intensive use, and analyses the problems of land conservation and intensive use in China, and puts forward the specific ways to promote the conservation and intensive use of land in China in the process of new urbanisation.
