Abstract: In the Era of Big Data, the Entity Resolution, i.e. the process of identifying which records refer to the same entity real world, is considered important. In mission-critical Entity Resolution tasks, often high-quality results are required. To achieve such high results, human interventions should be integrated into the process. Moreover, data changes with high velocity and the Entity Resolution process should be executed frequently. In this paper, we present DETECTIVE GADGET, a system for iterative Entity Resolution that involves humans in the loop of the Entity Resolution. DETECTIVE GADGET is agnostic on the quality of the data and includes the data cleaning process inside of the Entity Resolution workflow. We present the effectiveness of our novel approach in many real case scenarios.
