Abstract: Programmed cell death-1 (PD1) protein has an inhibitory effect that reduces the activity of T cells. In this study, gene expression PD1 in patients with breast cancer compared to healthy subjects discussed. This study was performed on 25 patients with breast cancer as a case group and 25 healthy individuals as a control group. Real-time PCR method was used to evaluate gene expression. For the case group, the mean age was 2.75 ± 12.18 and for the control group 30.6 ± 2.6. The results of our study showed that the expression of PD1 gene in the case group was higher than the control (p<0.05). As a result of our study show that expression of gene in the development of breast cancer, So PD1 can be used as prognostic gene in breast cancer study be considered.
