Abstract: WelcomeWelcome to the final issue of the Journal of Cartilage & Joint Preservation (JCJP) for 2024.This issue focuses on the management of knee osteoarthritis (OA) and begins with 2 articles on biologics, including a narrative review on the characterization and therapeutic potential of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in OA and a crossover study on the safety of pharmaceutical agents for enhancing the concentration of cellular components in platelet-rich plasma.Also included are 2 studies that investigate the response rate of patients with OA to viscosupplementation.Then, 3 papers discuss surgical management of cartilage lesions in the setting of OA, before the issue concludes with a narrative review on the potential of meniscal progenitor cells for healing meniscus injuries.Continue reading below for a summary of what is to come in this issue of JCJP.
