Abstract: This article is dedicated to the role of fine literature and the importance of analysis and interpretation of original literary texts in teaching foreign languages. It mentions the function of Russian literature in the process of acquiring and deepening communicative, intercultural, and social competencies. The article discusses the methods and specific exercises that allow students to effectively develop the aforementioned skills.
