Abstract: Invited review: Qualitative social and human science research focusing on actors in and around dairy farming.By Vaarst et al., page 10050.This article reviewed qualitative research related to humans, dairy cows, calves, and farming based on 117 articles from selected journals not directly targeting dairy science audiences.A wealth of interesting and surprising perspectives, new insights, and discussions related to dairy farming and the sector were brought out based on a wide range of qualitative research methods.Topics ranged, including those related to animals, farms, society, food systems, and ecosystems.We suggest a closer interdisciplinary collaboration for future research about dairy farming.
