Climate Policy Uncertainty and Real Crude Oil Prices: Asymmetric Evidence From the Fourier Causality Approach
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This paper is the first to investigate asymmetric causality between climate policy uncertainty (CPU) and real crude oil prices (RCOILP) by employing the Fourier-Granger causality framework and monthly data from April 1987 to April 2023. Our findings suggest that positive and negative changes in CPU spike crude oil prices.
