Abstract: Local exhaust ventilation is used to capture pollutants and maintain a comfortable indoor climate. The main element of exhaust ventilation is local suction. A mathematical model of the separation flow at the entrance to the circular suction socket above the heat source located on an impermeable plane has been developed. The dependence of the maximum distance to the heat source, at which the convective flow is captured, on the length and angle of inclination of the bell is determined. The results obtained are useful for designing local exhaust ventilation systems. Ill. 4. Ref. 15.
