Year: 2024
Type: conference-paper
Study design: Systematic Review
Abstract: Sustainable Strategic Management (SSM) involves identifying and refining the most crucial strategic directions for a company in the areas of economics, society, and the environment. Efforts in these areas also contribute to achieving sustainable development goals in business management. The application of Business Intelligent Systems (BIS) to achieve strategic goals and implement strategies enhances business outcomes, agility, scalability, and flexibility of enterprises. This article aims to identify key research areas concerning SSM and BIS in the context of sustainable development. The research methodology employed is a literature review based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) schema in the Scopus database. Bibliometric mapping was conducted using VOSviewer software, with results presented in the form of diagrams, tables, and accompanying descriptions. The article explores both previously researched areas and fills a research gap by presenting a new theoretical perspective on SSM supported by BIS. The scientific and methodological implications summarize the current state of knowledge in the studied areas and result from the conducted research procedures, which can be replicated in other academic databases. Therefore, practical implications include identifying areas of SSM suitable for implementing BIS in companies committed to achieving sustainable development goals.
