Relationship between self-control as an internal factor and internet addiction in adolescents

Abstract: Introduction: The increasing interest of adolescents in internet usage has heightened the risk of internet addiction. Self-control, a crucial internal factor, has been the focus of our study. We aimed to investigate the relationship between self-control and internet addiction. Methods: Using a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach, we surveyed 165 senior high school students selected through cluster sampling. Self-control was the independent variable, and internet addiction was the dependent variable.
