Abstract: The article discusses the impacts of aircraft noise on communities near airports, highlighting the conflicts generated between urban growth and airport operations. While airports provide significant economic benefits, such as job creation and tourism stimulation, noise affects residents' quality of life, causing physical and psychological disturbances. The text proposes the creation of a noise tariff to fund the acquisition of critically affected areas, aiming to mitigate negative impacts and promote integrated planning between airport operations and neighboring communities.
