Análise estatística comparativa das condições meteorológicas de nevoeiro, temperatura e umidade relativa do ar em Pirassununga – SP

Abstract: The goal of the present work is to compare the anual data, from 1989 to 2008, for the meteorological variables fog, average temperature and humidity, with the data of these variables for the months of April, May, June and July, in Pirassununga-SP. The strategies employed represent an interdisciplinar approach to the problem while involving elements of descriptive statistics, graphics, data-fitting with polynomial regression, and non-parametric statistics. The relevance of interrelating these variables relies on a number of scenarios such as forecasting fogs in roads and aerodromes, planning flight activities and, in the context of agriculture, providing a guideline for public policies to fight plagues which benefit from the variability and trends of such variables.
