Abstract: The use of technology is essential in protecting the genetic resources, namely native goats in Indonesia. This includes the establishment of oocyte banks to store oocyte supplies for different uses, such as in vitro embryo creation for embryo transfer.Vitrification has been identified as the most advantageous option for storing reserves of oocytes. The objective of this research is to clarify the impact of cryoprotectant on the quality of oocytes from Kacang Goat after the warming process, specifically by investigating the expression of Apoptosis Inducing Factor (AIF).The study also investigates the function of cryoprotectants in the freezing process by comparing the control group (K) without vitrification, a commercially available cryoprotectant (P1), and a mixture of 30% ethylene glycol and 1M sucrose (P2).The results indicate a significant difference (p<0.05) in AIF expression between the treatment groups.Specifically, there is a difference between group K (0.66a ± 0.47) and group P1 (12b ± 0), group K (0.66a ± 0.47) and group P2 (4.16c ± 2.33), and group P1 (12b ± 0) and group P2 (4.16c ± 2.33).The trend suggests that the P2 cryoprotectant group yields the best outcomes for post-warming Kacang Goat oocytes.Based on the findings, it can be inferred that a solution containing 30% ethylene glycol and 1M sucrose is effective in safeguarding the oocytes of Kacang Goats when subjected to progressive warming in accordance with vitrification procedures.
