Abstract: . Computational product design is a new trend that combines product design with CAD-based programming, thus the designer creates an application that can model a great deal of product alternatives. Every algorithm built is able to provide sophisticated geometries in 2D/3D and by changing a series of parameters to customize the design, based on the user demands and needs. The unusual geometries proposed can only be materialized by additive manufacturing technologies. The present paper follows a multidisciplinary approach by combining biomimetically inspired geometries with computational design and additive manufacturing. The transition from the digital modeling to the physical prototyping is facilitated by 3D printing, which allows for precise and customizable prototyping and production. The research asserts that the fusion of computational design and 3D printing enables wearable accessories to not only meet, but surpass conventional expectations. This innovative approach boosts human creativity but also integrates fashion and functionality, shaping a dynamic and interactive future landscape in the realm of designing products.
