Abstract: The article examines the issue of attracting Chinese FDI to Russia in the context of the Belt and Road initiative implementation. It is shown that in recent years, the influx of Chinese FDI into the Russian economy has decreased significantly. However, on the background of active trade cooperation between the two countries, the potential for Russian-Chinese investment cooperation remains extremely high, including in the transport sector, which is very important for the Belt and Road initiative.
