Abstract: This review article presents current information on the pathogenetic features of hemostasis in cerebral ischemic stroke based on the analysis of scientific articles indexed in PubMed and Web of Science databases. Ischemic stroke is a sudden neurological failure due to acute focal cerebral ischemia leading to cerebral infarction. The role of hemostasis disorders in the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke has been much less publicized in scientific circles, and the dynamics of disorders and early signs of activation of the blood coagulation system, including the development of hemorrhagic transformation and secondary vasospasm, have not been sufficiently studied.
