Abstract: Mechanical complications following acute myocardial infarction are well characterized and warrant surgical intervention. We present a rare case of a young patient with dual papillary muscle rupture after an episode of diabetic ketoacidosis in the absence of angiographic obstructive epicardial coronary artery disease.
