Abstract: Collaborative product development, referred to as collaborative product design or CPD, is a business strategy of product creation, and a set of software tools that allow multiple developers or companies to work together on a product. Оne of the most challenging areas of design is 3D modeling and CAD/CAM systems. To address this issue, a number of software tools and research projects have emerged that offer collaborative solutions. This article aims to summarize existing solutions with a focus on collaborative 3d modeling software with remote rendering.
