Abstract: The study analyzes the protection of children's rights in the digital environment, addressing the current context in which minors interact with digital technologies that can violate their privacy and expose them to risks of cyberbullying and data exploitation. It examines normative frameworks such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child and UN General Comment 25, which seek to adapt child protection to the digital age, although significant shortcomings persist. Through a literature review, the article evaluates the effectiveness of current policies and proposes the adoption of preventive approaches, such as safe design, in addition to digital citizenship education for minors. The results highlight the lack of specific regulation, the difficulty in adapting privacy policies and the commercial exploitation of children's data. In conclusion, the need for multisectoral collaboration and a unified regulation that allows minors to have a safe online experience, where their fundamental rights are respected and their integral development is favored, is emphasized.
