Abstract: Introduction: Identification of human beings is an important aspect in recent centuries. Bite-mark analysis is one part of the forensic puzzle. The bizygomatic width is an important measurement in craniometry and in forensic facial reconstruction in the for determining facial width. The relationship between facial measurements and maxillary incisor width is used as a guide in selecting denture teeth, as in Berry's Biometric Index Aim: The aim of the study was to highlight the effectiveness of applying Berry's Index as an adjuvant to support and in bitemark analysis. Objectives: This study attempts to highlight the effectiveness of applying Berry's Index as an adjuvant to support and and in bitemark analysis. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted among 40 students between the ages of 18 to 22 years from Sharad Pawar Dental Collage, Wardha. Out of the 40 subjects, there were 20 males and 20 females. Width of upper central incisor and bizygomatic width for male and female were measured. The data obtained was tabulated and analyzed using SPSS Version 11.5. Results: The mean value of the width of the upper central incisor for male and female was 0.7602 cm and 0.7765 cm respectively. The mean value of the bizygomatic width for male and female was 12.54 cm and 12.42 cm respectively. The correlation between the upper central incisor width and the bizygomatic width was inferred to have a good positive correlation with a value of 0.613. Pearson correlation coefficient with greater correlation between the upper central incisor width and the bizygomatic width in female patient (r = 0.678) compared with male patient (r = 0. 525). Conclusion: Berry's Index can be a helpful adjuvant to bitemark analysis by providing a means of determining the facial proportions of an individual from the width of the central incisors.
