Abstract: Leptospirosis is a zoonotic disease caused by the spirochete Leptospira. The disease is present in most countries but is more common in tropical and subtropical regions. Symptoms of Leptospira infection are similar to those of fever caused by Rickettsia, scrub typhus, and malaria. People who work in agricultural fields often have a higher rate of exposure to Leptospira than others. In this study, 200 healthy individuals living in Ha Giang and Cao Bang provinces were interviewed, and blood samples were collected in 2022. Collected blood samples were separated by centrifugation and stored in liquid nitrogen until transferred to the laboratory for testing to detect anti-Leptospira IgG antibodies using the "Novalisa Leptospira IgG ELISA" kit. The results indicated that 35 out of 200 individuals carried IgG antibodies against Leptospira, accounting for 17.5%. Among these, the positive rate in men was 25.9%, 1.8 times higher than in women (14.1%) with p<0.05p < 0.05p<0.05. There were no statistically significant differences in the rate of anti-Leptospira IgG antibodies according to location and age.
