Abstract: The article discusses the issues of legal regulation of digital platforms as a complex object of information relations. Topical problems of public law regulation of the regime of digital platforms regarding the use of unfair practices in the design of the platform’s web interface are identified. Attention is paid to the consolidation of the concept of dark patterns in the legislation of foreign countries. Particular attention is paid to the protection of personal data subjects when using dark patterns in digital platforms. The relevant areas of scientific research in the field of information law and also for the development of recommendations for improving law enforcement practice are highlighted.
