This article's central objective is to carry out a diagnosis of schools and enrollments based on data on indigenous school education in the akwẽ-Xerente territory (Xerente and Funil Indigenous Lands), in the municipality of Tocantínia, State of Tocantins, in the year 2023. To this end, the question is: What is the reality of indigenous school education in the Akwẽ-Xerente Territory, in 2023? The research is theoretical-descriptive-analytical and is based on documentary research, bibliographical, descriptive research, following a qualitative-quantitative approach. It is possible to notice that some issues related to the structural and didactic-pedagogical conditions of offering school education in the Xerente and Funil Territory, similar to the 2015 diagnosis, prepared by professors Ferreira and Morais Neto (2016) remain: school infrastructure lacks maintenance in both the ‘buildings’; as for scrapped or missing permanent materials, lack of continued training for teachers, lack of teaching and pedagogical material, among others; although the number of schools increased from 2015, from 31 (thirty-one) to 44 (forty-four) and the ‘Centro de Ensino Médio Xerente – CEMIX’, in 2023, many problems are the same.
