Abstract: Designing a structure to minimize damage during an earthquake can be quite costly, especially since earthquakes are rare events that may not occur during the structure's lifespan. In this project, we focus on an existing RCC framed structure, where wind plays a crucial role in the design of tall buildings due to its dynamic characteristics. The impact of wind on a tall structure is significant, influenced by both its location and height. This project utilizes the equivalent static method to evaluate wind loads on buildings that have been designed and analyzed using STAAD Pro V8i.The main objectives are to assess the variations in the percentage of steel used, maximum shear force, maximum bending moment, and maximum deflection across different wind categories and seismic zones.
