Year: 2024
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: The research was conducted in "New Life" of the Novouzensky district of the Saratov region. Purebred Caucasian queens of different intrabreed types mated with purebred sheep of the wool-meat type. The young were formed into groups: I – from wool-meat type queens; II – wool; III – meat-wool. An assessment of the fertility of queens and the safety of lambs showed that the wool-meat type had an advantage in the yield of young animals, compared with wool and meat-wool - 2.72 and 8.93%. Lambs of the wool-meat type had less waste by the age of 14 months relative to wool and meat-wool lambs. The safety from birth to one year was also high in young animals of the wool-meat type. Thus, the uterus and the young of the wool-meat type had higher reproductive qualities and safety.
