Abstract: Epistemic and aleatory uncertainties pose significant challenges in evaluating distributed generation (DG) hosting capacity (DGHC). To address these uncertainties simultaneously, this paper introduces a robust analysis approach integrated with information gap decision theory (IGDT) for DGHC evaluation in multi-distribution lines interconnected by SOPs. Firstly, leveraging the hyperspace-based method, the robust hosting capacity (RHC) for a radial line is extended to the robust hosting region (RHR) for multiple lines. The robust-IGDT model is then enhanced to support RHR evaluation in interconnected lines. An effective solution procedure is convert the proposed model into a mixed integer second-order cone programming (MISOCP) model. Numerical results validate the necessity of the optimization model for RHR, the interaction of DGHC in interconnected lines, and the effectiveness of the proposed transformation method for solving the nonlinear robust-IGDT model.
