Isolation of mixed valence charge-neutral Ag 12 , and dicationic Ag 10 nano-clusters stabilized by carbene-phosphaalkenides

Abstract: Two mixed-valence Ag nano-clusters (NCs) with Ag 12 , and Ag 10 cores were isolated in solid state, and structurally characterized, revealing the presence of both Ag(0)/Ag( i ) atoms/ions. The paramagnetic nature of the NCs was confirmed by EPR studies.
