Abstract: Assessing the risk of violence, but how? – Addressing violence and aggression in the risk assessment Incidents of violence are not uncommon in many health and welfare facilities. What is rarer, however, is the systematic and analytical handling of these incidents of violence. But how do you get there? And what role do company physicians play in this? A risk assessment that addresses the issue of violence is a central component of successful violence prevention management. It can significantly improve the internal handling of incidents of violence and thus also contribute to a reduction in incidents of violence. In this article, two methodological approaches to the risk assessment of violence are presented.
