Research on the Present Situation, Trends and the Countermeasures of Aging Problem — Based on the Comparison Between China and the United States

Abstract: According to statistics, the population of the world reached 8 billion in 2022. People's material life and happiness index have been continuously improved. With the persistent development of society, it is obvious that the problem of aging population has gradually become a sign of the aging of modern age structure. In China, China implemented some birth policies, and the fertility rate increased in 2015. However, due to social problems, this trend did not significantly slow down China’s aging problem. Against the historical background of the "baby boom" in the America, the economic pressure on the United States gradually increased. In recent years, both the low birth rate and the low mortality rate in the United States also make the problem of population aging more and more significant. Based on the data that show the aging problem in China and the America, those papers analyze the aging trend between the two countries, studies the different policies proposed by China and the United States to solve the social problem of aging and explores the effectiveness of these policies.
