Abstract: The Qur’ân al-kerîm is a divine book that was revealed gradually by Allaah through Jabrâil (a.s.) to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) over a period of twenty-three years, depending on different circumstances and various events. Despite this, there is a unique tenâsüp, harmony and coherence between the words chosen, the sentences formed and the meanings they express, and the verses and suras. This science provides an authentic understanding of the Holy Qur’ân by identifying the remarkable coherence and harmony between the verses and surahs within their own syllabi. The branches of science based on the Holy Qur’ân have developed gradually. Since the science of Munāsabāt al-Qur’ān is based on the sciences of i‘jāz, rhetoric, beyān, ma‘ānī and ‘ulum al-Qur’ān, it has naturally been shaped and developed gradually. In this study, information is given about the definition, history, importance, general principles of determination, its relationship with other Qur’anic sciences and the approaches of the commentators on this subject. Then, the definitions of the words verse and surah were made, and the basic types of the science of Munāsabāt al-Qur’ān, which are the basic types of the science of Munāsabāt al-Qur’ān, were tried to be explained with some examples related to the forms under the types of interrelationships between verses, sūrahs and surahs
