Abstract: In this paper, we propose and study a class of memory-based reaction-diffusion biological population models with double time delays. By using the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction method, we obtain the existence, uniqueness, and multiplicity of the non-homogeneous steady-state solutions. Next, by analyzing the characteristic equation, we derive the local stability of the steady-state solution and sufficient conditions for Hopf bifurcation to occur. Under some special conditions, the first critical value r_0^λ for Hopf branch occurrence will increase as the advection term α increases, i.e., the advective effect has decelerated the generation of Hopf bifurcation to a certain extent.
