Abstract: This article analyzes the need for alternative solutions to resolve conflicts in Mexican cooperatives, in a context of distrust towards the judicial system and the complexity of commercial and cooperative law. These circumstances generate uncertainty and can lead to "societal deadlock," affecting the operation of cooperatives. The research aims to determine how regulatory complexity and the inefficiency of the judicial system contribute to the preference for negotiation as a conflict resolution. The methodology used is qualitative and descriptive, using methods of legal sciences and literature review to examine theoretical and normative frameworks on conflict resolution. The results indicate that distrust in judicial institutions has led to their disuse, suggesting that promoting negotiation could revitalize both the use of the judicial system and the sustainable development of cooperatives in Mexico
