Abstract: Decarbonization of energy systems is forcing the development of renewable energy generation and consumption technologies. Photovoltaic systems are used in almost every industrial field, including autonomous power systems. Such systems are used, for example, on ships, space vehicles, or flying platforms. The use of energy generated from renewable sources requires a grid converter. To effectively use clean renewable energy, it is necessary to properly control power. In such a case, the precise synchronization of the converter with the grid becomes a key challenge. When the converter is connected to voltage with constant frequency, the synchronization process does not cause a problem. In the case of connecting the grid inverter to buses with changing voltage frequency, known synchronization algorithms become unsuitable. It has been shown that the use of frequency variation information causes deviations from the unit amplitude of synchronization signals, so a new system was proposed for adapting to variable frequency using a generalized second-order integrator. As a result, synchronization signals of unit amplitude were obtained. With the proposed method, the proportional resonant controller was able to control the active and reactive components of the current even with changes in voltage frequency, by adapting the resonant frequency.
