Determination of the porosity structure of acid resistants based on non-ferrous metallurgy wastes by method of mercury porometry and diffuse X-ray scattering

Type: article
Abstract: Integral and differential porograms of the studied samples obtained by mercury porosimetry showed that the content of safe micropores (10‒7‒10‒8 m) and reserve (10‒4‒10‒5 m) in samples containing 40 % chamotte (optimal amount) more than in samples not containing fireclay and are respectively 60 and 49 %, but the content of «dangerous» micropores (10‒6‒10‒7 m) in samples containing fireclay is less than in samples not containing fireclay. Studies carried out using the diffuse X-ray magnetic resonance method have shown that in the nature of a microporous structure, an increase in the chamotte content from 20 to 40 % leads to a decrease in the effective radius of micropores and an increase in the uniformity of pore sizes, as evidenced by a decrease in the curvature of the lgI∞‒φ2
