Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Although trauma teams often do not have the luxury of ‘painstaking preparation’, trauma resuscitation is a race against time. Increasingly, team performance has been shown to improve patient outcomes1 2 and team readiness and handoff is key to peak performance.3 Rastegar et al should be commended for their efforts to define the ‘sweet spot’ of prearrival preparation time. But how realistic is this ‘sweet spot’?
