Abstract: Public space plays a crucial role in the development of graffiti mural arts, and the integration of graffiti murals into public spaces is inevitable. The publicity of murals often conflicts with the expressive nature of graffiti artists. Graffiti artists struggle to find a sense of belonging in public space unless their artistic ideas are elevated to the mainstream or public will. However, once these artistic ideas align with the mainstream, graffiti murals may lose some of their original rebellious spirit. This paper primarily discusses this issue and attempts to find feasible solutions.
