Draft Genome of Halorubrum amylolyticum CSM52: A Halophilic Archaea from Triassic Salt in Northern Ireland

Abstract: The draft genome of Halorubrum amylolyticum CSM52, an archaeal strain exhibiting distinctive cross-domain signaling capabilities, was isolated from a Triassic halite deposit in Northern Ireland and has been sequenced and analysed. Identified as closely related to Halorubrum amylolyticum based on 16S rRNA sequence identity, this genome spans approximately 3.9 Mb, with a GC content of 57.3%, comprising 3657 coding sequences.
