Abstract: The results of experimental and theoretical investigations of hydrocarbon’s spills spreading over the ice cover are presented. On the basement of the mass and ener-gy conservation model the approximate equation, describing the dynamics of spreading area in a time, is constructed. The comparison of theoretical and experimental results shows its good correspondence.
