Abstract: Sen. Mike Rounds (Republican — South Dakota) has introduced legislation to eliminate the U.S. Department of Education, following up on one of President Donald Trump's key campaign promises ( bit.ly/49bB1ln ). The bill, entitled Returning Education to Our States Act, would redistribute existing federal programs under the ED to other departments.
