Neopentyl glycol as an alternative solvent for the chemical recycling of complex PET waste

Abstract: Neopentyl glycol (NPG) was evaluated for glycolysis of complex PET waste streams, and an effective purification process was developed. Monomeric products achieved over 90% purity, making them suitable for high-quality, value-added applications.
