Research of Combustion Products of Epoxy Polymers Modified With Copper and Ammonium Phosphates
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The paper presents the data reflecting the influence of copper (II) solutions of orthophosphate hydroxide in the mixture H3PO4: (NH4)2HPO4 = 10 : 1 (wt.) on the combustion process of polymers based on epoxydian resin ED-20 and hardener triethylenetetramine. It was found that during the combustion of the designated objects carbonized phosphates and (poly)oxonitrides of phosphorus are formed. Copper plays the role of a catalyst in the processes of coke layer formation, the structure of which is largely determined by the amount of gaseous products.
