On the Effectiveness of Interphase Catalysis in the Synthesis of Potassium Butyl Xanthogenate

Abstract: The influence of the nature of the phase-transfer catalyst on the synthesis of potassium butyl xanthate during the xanthogenation of butanol in a two-phase aqueous-organic medium was studied. A phase-transfer catalyst was selected, with the use of which the process proceeds with a higher yield of the target product.
