Abstract: The tense environmental situation in the Kemerovo Region (Kuzbass) determines the importance of preserving the quality of the environment, including biological reclamation of disturbed lands. The research goal was to study the ways to increase the survival rate of planting material during the reclamation of technogenically disturbed landscapes. The research was conducted at an experimental site located on the Kazachenkovskiy dump of the Taldinskiy coal strip mine. When choosing plants for reclamation, their ability to phytoremediation - accumulation and disposal of pollutants in their tissues - was taken into account. The organomineral complex TOR-organic was used as soil improver. The observation over the growth of the planted material was carried out by the visual method and by evaluating the NDVI index with a frequency of once every two weeks. Aerial photography with a RGB camera was performed using unmanned aircrafts of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro+ model with an onboard Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver installed. Growing plants on the experimental site gives a high survival percentage of cultivated plants with a powerfully developed root system. The analysis of vegetation survival showed that the green phytomass of herbaceous plants on the experimental sites was well formed which indicated good viability of the vegetation cover. The herbaceous plant species undergo a full cycle of development. Thus, as a result of the conducted research, ways to increase the survival rate of planting material during the reclamation of technogenically disturbed landscapes were studied.
