Abstract: The study of products from oriental, mainly Chinese, traditional medicine has become particularly important in modern times. Tripterygium Wilfordii Hook F, which has been used for more than 2000 years to treat skin diseases, stands out among the remedies of ancient Chinese medicine. Intensive research is currently being carried out onto the mechanisms of action of various products of this plant. The data on the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of these substances are especially important. The data obtained are of direct relevance to modern dermatological practice.
