Assessing Revision Hip Surgery Risks and Outcomes

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the risks and clinical outcomes of revision hip surgeries. The number of revision hip arthroplasties is increasing due to the demographic ageing of the population. The primary risk factors are age, the presence of comorbidities, and the condition of the bone tissue, which have a significant impact on the complication rate and long-term survival of the implants. Modern technologies and methods to improve the outcomes of revision arthroplasty are described, including the use of modular implant systems, 3D printing, and computer navigation. Special attention is given to the necessity of an individualized approach to patient treatment and further refinement of surgical strategies to reduce risks and improve patients' quality of life.
