Abstract: A significant challenge in dental education is the growing reluctance of graduates to pursue academic careers. 1 This global trend has resulted in a shortage of faculty members in dental schools, which has far-reaching effects on the quality of education and the oral health needs of communities.Engaging dental students in teaching skill development and providing them with appropriate mentorship are essential steps in fostering interest in academic careers. 2 A retrospective analysis highlighted the absence of such initiatives in Malaysian dental undergraduate programs, underscoring the need for a structured intervention.
