Abstract: Saudi Arabia's education system, like many others, has been modelled to meet outcomes required by industry. Similarly to other Western countries, for instance the US, there has been a focus on the level of English and medical skills at the expense of some essential soft skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving skills, communication skills, presentation skills, leadership skills, research skills, management skills, and treatment skills.
