Abstract: Environmental education plays an important role in shaping the worldview of modern youth. Environmental education, enlightenment and upbringing occupy an important place in the work of the Transnistrian Centre of the All-Russian Public Organization ‘Russian Geographical Society’. A large number of various activities are aimed at shaping environmental awareness among schoolchildren and students, developing environmental literacy, involving them in research projects and stimulating social activism. The Centre's activities are based on a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach that takes into account the interests and needs of modern society in preserving and shaping a clean and comfortable environment.
